RESIDENTIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AND COMMERCIAL RADIANT BARRIER COATINGS AND REFLECTIVE ROOF COATINGS |
How does a reflective roof coating make a roof “cool?” Nearly any roof can be converted into a “cool” roof by applying a white reflective roof coating. This can be achieved at any time during the life of the existing roof. These coatings can be applied to new and existing dark-colored roofs. A reflective roof is defined as one that has properties of at least 75% reflectivity and 65% emissivity. It reflects solar energy back into space so the roof surface remains cooler. A “black” roof becomes incredibly hot in the heat of summer, with this solar energy getting absorbed into the building. The installation of a reflective coating not only reduces the surface temperature and heat transfer into the structure, it also acts as the first line of defense against water penetration. |
Roof Coatings & Re-Coatings The very last layer of almost every type of roofing material (foam, metal, asphalt, modified bitumen, shake, tile, etc.) is a coating substance. These coatings can be composed of a wide variety of materials including acrylic, aluminum, rubberized aluminum, polyurethane, asphalt, polymers, cement, granules, rock — the list goes on and on. These coatings tend to be extremely durable and elastomeric. Elastomeric simply means that the material is very elastic (resembling rubber) and resumes its original shape after an impact. In short, it rebounds from hailstones, branches or debris falling on the roof |

Badly Rusted and Leaking Metal Roofing? WE CAN FIX IT! |
When it comes to saving your old rusted metal roof, our Total Protection System gives you the complete package. Once complete your roof will be restored to better than original condition and will last for years to come. |
A single, thin coat of our spray applied to the underside of your roof deck will block up to 84% of the sun's radiant heat from entering your home through the attic. And in winter, the same barrier will reflect back up to 84% of the heat that tries to escape from your home through the attic. Yet unlike foil substrates, our radiant barrier spray can be applied in a matter of hours instead of days. It goes on evenly, with no gaps or holes. And because it is sprayed on, it can easily be applied to existing roofs. |
